Footwear Trim Sourcing Resources
Start with the component's location on the shoe, then define the material, dimensions, attachment and evidence needed for the destination market. The product-family pages show preliminary planning ranges; an approved sample and written quotation establish the order specification.
What to specify by product family
| Family | Product definition | Evidence to match |
|---|---|---|
| Shoelaces & aglets | Lace length, flat width or cord diameter, yarn, color and tip fit. | Approved sample; requested strength, abrasion or color test method. |
| Eyelets & hooks | Base metal, opening size, flange or hook geometry, finish and setting method. | Drawing and fit check; finish and corrosion report for the tested sample. |
| Webbing & tapes | Fiber content, width, weave, stretch or bonding process and color. | Assembly sample; test method for pull strength, color or seam performance. |
| TPU labels & patches | Artwork, face size, relief, compound, color and attachment method. | Approved artwork and attachment sample; material evidence for the chosen compound. |
| Shoe charms & findings | Overall size, material, edge detail, fit and retention design. | Fit sample and retention criteria for the actual shoe application. |
How to check a test report
- Match the legal company, laboratory and report number to the document you received.
- Match the tested sample, material, finish and date to your intended component.
- Read the test method, limits, measured result and any exclusions.
- Check that the report addresses the destination market and the buyer's current specification.
There is no universal test report for all products on this site. Review our evidence checklist, then send the SKU and required document for the selected project.
